Troop Wreath Sales August 27 thru October 22, 2026

Posted on Aug 27 2026 - 9:53pm

Wreath sales are our only fundraising event Troop 190 hosts.  Scouts will earn $2.50 for each item sold and $5.00 for each GiftItForward item sold.  Earnings are paid in Scout Bucks and can be redeemed for Troop 190 activities, i.e., campouts or summer camp.  Scouts will sell wreaths from August 27th to October 22nd.  Sales Envelopes are due at the October 22nd Troop meeting.  Scouts can earn more by helping with sales at St. Mary's Church following Mass on October 17, 18, 24 & 25.  Sign-ups will be available at the Troop 190 meetings in October.  Wreaths are to be delivered to customers the week after Thanksgiving.  The troop will have a wreath "shake out" and bag meeting on Saturday, November 28th at 10 am [Sat after Thanksgiving].  We will need a scout after each Mass on November 28th & 29th to assist in handing out wreaths to church customers.  Money is due December 3rd at the scout meeting.

PLEASE CONTINUE TO WORK ON YOUR MERIT BADGES TO FINISH ANY PARTIALS FROM CAMP.

Posted on Jul 26 2026 - 5:15pm

Try to set some time aside to complete your partial merit badge(s).  Your Scoutmaster can help you find a merit badge councilor.  You can also work on new merit badges throughout the year; you don't have to wait for summer camp to do merit badges.  On-line merit badge worksheets can help you do each merit badge.  BE PREPARED.

BRING YOUR SCOUT HANDBOOKS TO THE SCOUT MEETING EACH WEEK.

Posted on Jul 26 2026 - 5:14pm

Please remember to bring your Scout Handbooks to each scout troop meeting.

Do You Know About Scouting Religious Awards?

Posted on Jul 26 2026 - 5:14pm

To help Scouts grow in their faith many religious groups have partnered with Scouting to offer religious awards.  These awards are earned through the Scout Church or other religious group.  The specifics behind earning each of these awards vary depending on the Scouts age and religion.  If you are interested in pursuing these awards, please speak with your Scoutmaster.  Remember, a Scout is reverent.

2027 BSA Medical Forms. Remember to bring a copy of the form to be filled out by your doctor when getting your annual physical.

Posted on Jul 26 2026 - 5:13pm

Once completed, remember to attach a copy of your insurance card to the BSA Medical Form.

A full physical, including an examination by a physician or other health professional is required annually for summer camp. Part C is filled out by your physician.    No physical, no summer camp.  Camp rules, no exceptions.  The BSA Medical form is good for 1 year and must be current during summer camp. The BSA Medical form has not changed since 2019.

BSA Youth Protection Training Replacement Program

The Safeguarding Youth Training (SYT) program has replaced the previous Youth Protection Training (YPT) as the mandatory training for all registered adult volunteers
in the Boy Scouts of America. This new training is designed to be more engaging, accessible, and aligned with current best practices in youth protection.

It's good for all adults to take the Safeguarding Youth Training on-line class at: http://www.scouting.org/Training/ which should be done every year. Selecting YPT will automatically direct you to the SYT training.
